Through our core messaging, we can easily share why we care about the federal courts, the impact of the federal courts on our daily lives, and the importance of a fair judiciary.
Equal justice means protecting the rights of everyone, no matter their race or background. From the right to control our own bodies, the power to shape our communities through our vote, and being able to access the same opportunities to succeed, we are joining together to protect our freedoms, our families, and our futures.
But our courts aren’t working for all of us. They favor rich and powerful interests. For decades, our courts have been packed with extremists — with the goal of upending our most fundamental civil and human rights. Already, we have seen far too many justices and judges rolling back our freedoms, including our freedom to vote and to access reproductive health care, including abortion.
For decades, we have been fighting for equal justice — and we will not stop. Unless we drive change, the deck will continue to be stacked against us — disproportionately harming people of color, women, people with disabilities, people who are LGBTQ, and people with low incomes. They know we are the majority — and the only way they can stay in power is by taking power away from the rest of us.
We need a Supreme Court, and federal judiciary, that works for all of us, not just the wealthy and powerful. For our democracy to work, we must know and have faith that judicial decisions are informed by facts and law, not wealth and power.
People across races, places, and parties must continue to come together, as we have in the past, to protect our freedoms. And this work must accelerate in 2025 and beyond as our democracy is at stake. We cannot create a fair judiciary overnight, nor undo the damage done from those in the judiciary who are beholden to wealth and power overnight, but we must continue fighting for future generations.
